The fine print

The Supreme Student Council of Mabalacat City College (MCC SSC) operates this website as an independent student-council project.
This website is not an information system of Mabalacat City College, does not operate as part of the College’s information-technology infrastructure, and does not provide the Council with access to the College’s student information systems, databases, records, accounts, or internal systems.
The website is operated by the Council for Council activities and student services. It is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
For questions concerning this website or information processed through it: official.mccssc@gmail.com
The Council does not have access to, and this website does not connect to:
The website does not retrieve student information from these systems.
The Council does not use this website to search, inspect, copy, scrape, synchronize, or otherwise obtain information from College databases.
The existence of a student’s record in a College system does not, by itself, give this website access to that record.
The Council does not represent this website as an official College database and does not use it as a substitute for any official College record.
Information processed by this website comes from one of the following sources:
The Council does not obtain personal information merely because a person is a student of Mabalacat City College.
Being an MCC student does not automatically create an account on this website, transfer a student record to the Council, or give the Council access to the person’s College information.
This website is not a general student-information database.
The Council does not maintain a database containing the complete personal records of MCC students.
In particular, the Council does not use this website to maintain a general collection of:
A feature that requires limited student information for a specific Council function does not create general access to the student’s College record.
Some Council services need limited information from a participant to work as intended.
That information is used only for that service.
The Council does not obtain a student’s complete College profile from it, and does not use it to search the College’s databases.
Information supplied to the Council for a particular Council function is used only for that function and is not treated as a general-purpose student database.
The attendance system is a Council-operated event-management tool.
It is not a College attendance database and does not automatically communicate attendance information to the College.
When a person records attendance, the system keeps the information needed to show that the person took part in that Council event, and when.
This information exists because the person used the Council’s attendance service.
It is not obtained from the person’s College account merely because the person is an MCC student.
Information submitted to the Council’s website does not automatically become part of a College record.
The website does not automatically send consultation responses, attendance records, partnership inquiries, website activity, or other Council-system information to a College database.
Likewise, the Council does not automatically receive information from a College database merely because a person interacts with this website.
Any disclosure outside the Council’s systems is separately subject to the applicable purpose, authorization, contractual arrangement, or legal requirement.
A person may ordinarily read public pages without creating an account or giving the Council their name or email address.
The Council does not use ordinary public-page visits to build student profiles.
The website does not intentionally use advertising trackers, advertising profiles, tracking pixels, or behavioral advertising systems.
The Council does not sell personal information.
The website is hosted using Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
As with any internet service, technical systems may necessarily process limited information required to deliver and secure requests, such as IP addresses, timestamps, request information, error information, and security events.
These technical records are infrastructure and security information. They are not used by the Council to obtain a student’s College record or construct a College-wide student profile.
The Council does not use hosting infrastructure as a means of accessing College systems.
Some Council features may allow or require Google authentication.
Google authentication is used only for the website feature for which authentication is requested.
Signing in with Google does not provide the Council with access to:
The website receives only the information made available through the configured authentication process and necessary for that feature.
The Council does not use Google authentication as a backdoor into College systems.
Where a consultation is expressly identified as anonymous, the system is designed so that an individual’s answer is not intentionally stored together with their identity.
A random browser token may be used to prevent repeated submissions.
The token is not intended to identify the user, and what is stored from it is scoped to the particular consultation.
The Council does not use the token to follow a person across the website or across unrelated consultations.
Where aggregation safeguards are enabled, small groups may not be displayed separately where doing so could make an individual reasonably identifiable from the published results.
The website may provide an AI-assisted information feature.
Where enabled, the user’s question and relevant public website content may be transmitted to the configured external AI provider to generate an answer.
The feature is not connected to the College’s student database.
It does not have access to a student’s academic record, enrollment record, grades, or other College information merely because the user asks a question.
Users should nevertheless avoid entering confidential or sensitive personal information into an AI-assisted feature.
Partnership inquiries are information voluntarily submitted to the Council.
The form may request an organization’s name, contact person’s name, email address, telephone number, website, proposed support, and message.
This information is collected solely so the Council can evaluate and respond to the inquiry.
It does not provide the Council with access to the organization’s or person’s College records.
Administrative accounts on this website are Council accounts.
They are not College accounts.
A Council administrator’s access to this website does not give that administrator access to College information systems.
The website’s authentication system and the College’s institutional authentication systems remain separate unless a specific integration is expressly implemented and disclosed.
The Council does not sell personal information collected through this website.
The Council does not operate the website as an advertising platform.
The Council does not intentionally construct commercial profiles of students from their use of the website.
Information collected for one Council function is not automatically repurposed for unrelated profiling.
Certain website functions may use external service providers, including:
These services provide specific technical functions to the website.
Use of these services does not give the Council access to the College’s internal databases or information systems.
The Council does not sell College information to these providers.
The Council applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed by the website.
These may include:
No internet-connected system can honestly be guaranteed to be completely immune from unauthorized access or technical failure.
Accordingly, the Council does not make an absolute guarantee of security.
Questions or requests concerning information processed by this website may be directed to: official.mccssc@gmail.com
The Council will address requests according to applicable law and the information actually held by the Council.
Where the Council does not possess the requested information, it cannot provide information that it does not hold.
Where a feature was intentionally designed without maintaining an identity-to-response connection, the Council may likewise be unable to identify an individual’s anonymous response.
The Council maintains this website as a Council-operated platform.
The website’s databases, application infrastructure, authentication mechanisms, and operational records are separate from the College’s institutional information systems.
Nothing on this website should be interpreted as granting the Council general access to College records.
The Council does not claim ownership of, or unrestricted access to, the College’s institutional student information.
Where information is required for a particular Council function, only the information reasonably necessary for that function should be provided or processed.
This notice will be updated when the website’s information practices materially change.
The date at the beginning of this notice identifies the latest revision.
The Council will not intentionally describe a feature as anonymous, independent, or non-collecting if the actual implementation materially contradicts that description.
